Sue and her daughter Jess

A day out in the bush you can see Greg outside his car he had a bit of over heating problems

Got up early one morning keen to try out the new kayak, so headed down to the Yarra river, much to my delight as I got out of the car I saw these hot air ballons coming over the city of melbourne

It is always busy at Greg and Susans place cars coming and going so its not unusual to see lots of cars out the front

Decided that while I was in Melbourne at Gregs I would buy a uhf radio so I could listen to the truckies and find out what was happening on the road. Greg just happened to have one for sale so he was happy to get rid of it and I got one cheap, but he was not so happy when he came to fit it and as you can see the whole dash had to come out what a mess.
I ended up walking away and left it to him, was'nt a great feeling seeing my new car in pieces, he did a great job and after lots of curseing it all went back together.

This is the car I ended up buying in Sydney you can see the kayak on the roof which I hope to be using lots when I get down to tasmania, look out trout! should be fun, peaceful at least

so the plan is to buy a car and a kayak and keep travelling using the bike for smaller trips so keep following the blog I am now in Melbourne and will be heading to Tasmania

most suburbs with the word heights in them usally have it for the marketing people to make an area sound more prestigious, not with Kurrajong heights after walking up 1000m hill pushing a fully loaded bike and nearly being hit by trucks and speeding cars as there was no where safe to walk on the side of the road I reached the top what a view. thought this was going to be the last of the hills but it turned out there was three big ones and lots of smaller ones all of them put me in great danger of being hit, so much so that after doing 67km for the day I decided it was far to dangerious for me to go on with the the bike trip it was a hard decission to make but after a number of trucks blew there horns at me cars to and it was also raining I had A re think and have now changed plans.

after riding from wismans to windsor then richmond, and on to Kurrajong were I ended up staying for the night in this abandoned house, worked out great as a thunder storm came up through the night. The house stunk of rats

This is the ferry at wisemans ferry which I had to go on on my way to Windsor. Instead of going by train to sydney I decided to ride from Gosford to Lithgow then on to Melbourne via the western hwy
